The LWHRA Workforce Readiness Committee conducts workshops in and around the community to teach the skills and provide the skills needed to obtain living-wage jobs.
The 2021 Goals of the Workforce Readiness Committee are:
Connect – Explore opportunities within our community:
Grow – LWHRA member volunteers have the opportunity to expand their knowledge by presenting relevant topics at events hosted by the Workforce Readiness Committee.
Serve – Providing low-income, disadvantaged or displaced persons with the skills and tools they need to obtain living-wage jobs.
Transitional housing and non-profits like Hopelink, YWCA Redmond, Goodwill
Connect LWHRA members with those in our communities in need.
How You Can Help:
We look for volunteers to help out at special events throughout the year. We post these events on the LWHRA website and newsletter as they become available.
Opportunities include:
Participating in rewarding events helping those in need.
To meet amazing people who are looking to grow and learn.
Recommend opportunities to provide services to colleges, non-profits and transitional housing
