LWHRA Sept 16th Coffee Chat: Mental health and recovery-friendly workplaces

Let’s talk about what it really means to be a mental health–friendly workplace—and no, it’s not just adding an EAP brochure to your onboarding packet. I’ll be sharing how companies can build environments where employees feel safe being human, especially those dealing with substance use issues. We’ll also cover how corporate recovery coaching is becoming a game-changing support that helps people stay employed, not just get employed.

Location: Bellevue Hilton, 300 112th Ave SE, Bellevue, WA 98004
Coffee at 7:30am, conversation from 8-9am.

Speaker: Ty Reed

Hi, I’m Ty Reed. I’m a workforce speaker, recovery coach, and reentry program leader who is passionate about helping companies build work cultures that not only look good on paper but also support the people inside them. I went from being homeless and addicted to becoming a nonprofit founder, recovery and career coach, author, and public speaker. These days, I help businesses understand how to support employees in recovery, hire individuals with records, and become places where second chances are more than just slogans.
