LWHRA Virtual Symposium FAQs

What platform will be utilized for the 2021 LWHRA Symposium?
The 2021 LWHRA Symposium will be hosted on the Whova platform.
Sessions will take place on Zoom.
How do I access the 2021 LWHRA Symposium?
On the day of Symposium, you will navigate to the LWHRA Symposium homepage and enter the "Attendee Portal". The attendee portal will be password protected so you will need to log in with your LWHRA profile information. Once in the attendee portal, you will be able to access the Whova platform link. This link will take you to the Whova website app.
You will need to create an account with Whova using the email you used to register for the LWHRA Symposium. Once you make an account, you will be automatically directed to the 2021 Symposium event platform.

Do I need to download the mobile Whova app?
You can access the LWHRA Whova platform from either your web browser or through the Whova mobile app.
Will sessions be available to view after Symposium?
Yes! Sessions will be available to watch on demand after Symposium. The LWHRA office will require a few days post-event to make these available.
How long with the virtual platform be available after Symposium?
The LWHRA Whova platform will be available for one week after Symposium concludes. We encourage you to take that time to download and collect any handouts or contact information that interests you.
I didn’t get a confirmation email for my registration transfer/refund request. Did it go through?
All transfers/refund requests must be done via email and sent to the LWHRA Office office@lwhra.org. We will confirm we received your request. Be sure to understand the registration and cancellation policies for the 2021 LWHRA Symposium.
Do I need to be a member of LWHRA to register for the virtual conference?
LWHRA membership is not required. Like previous Symposiums, the 2021 LWHRA Symposium attendance is open to all.
What is the registration cost?
Registration pricing can be found here. Please note the difference early-bird and regular pricing for Members, Non-Members, and Students.
What is the registration cancellation policy?
LWHRA will accept cancellations received on or before ten (10) days prior to the event. Registrants who cancel on or before ten (10) days prior to the event will receive a refund, less $20 processing fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after ten (10) days prior to the event. A substitute attendee will be permitted given the LWHRA office receives notice of the substitution on or before ten (10) days prior to the event. After ten (10) days prior to the event, the following conversion fees will apply: Event registrations $100 or greater: $25 substitution fee. Event registrations less than $100: $10 substitution fee Substitutions and cancellations must be submitted by email to office@lwhra.org.
Technical Failure
In the instance of a technical failure due to the LWHRA platform, the LWHRA office will offer make up sessions for the affected content. In the instance that a registrant cannot attend the make up session, then a partial refund may be requested. In the instance that the LWHRA must cancel the event, full refunds will be provided to all registrants. No refunds will be provided for technical failure due to attendees’ personal internet connection, hardware, or anything else used to provide the content to the attendee.
