The Time is Now: Future Proofing Your HR Career Post-COVID
Session Time: Tuesday, February 9 | 9:10 AM – 10:10 AM (PT)
Speaker: Lisa Downs, President/Owner, New Aspect Coaching | LinkedIn
Session Description: Gartner's Future of Work Trends Post-COVID-19 report shares 9 trends for the new world of work post-pandemic, including moving from an emphasis on efficiency to resilience, an increase in organizational complexity, and the separation of critical skills from roles to work across role-specific boundaries. What are you doing to future proof your career to ensure you adapt to these and additional changes we're likely to see in the coming years? How prepared are you to upskill, re-skill, and take charge of your own career growth instead of everyone else's? Join career transition coach Lisa Downs as she shares with you strategies and tools to assess the current state of your career, envision what's next for you, identify where you may have career development gaps, and create a plan to move forward, whether looking to continue in traditional HR roles or transition onto an alternative career path. With the time and effort you dedicate supporting people and addressing organizational or client demands, it's critical to pay attention to your own career and have a plan in place that leads to a fulfilling future, however you define it. If 2020 showed us anything, it's that we're in a state of VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) on overdrive and we need to be ready at all times to expect the unexpected.
The time is now to take charge of your career!
