Session Description: Whether launching a new system, facilitating a restructure, or rolling out a new policy, HR professionals play a pivotal role in stewarding organizational change. Great change leaders know that initiatives often fail not because they are misaligned with business priorities, but because people are not on board with the change. That resistance impacts productivity, morale, engagement, and the bottom line. One of the most valuable competencies HR professionals leverage to help drive the business forward change management. This is best done in a step-by-step process that raises awareness, elevates desire for the change, provides necessary knowledge, ensures that people have the ability to change, and reinforces the change. Throughout this process the need to anticipate and plan for resistance is critical. Using a model for successful change, we’ll learn strategies and actions necessary to move others through change and beyond.

Speaker Bio:
A results-driven human resources leader, Kendra develops and implements solutions that fuel company strategy and enhance organizational effectiveness. She draws from her background in business management and over 20 years in top HR roles at technology, professional services and nonprofit organizations to optimize human resources in regional, national and global environments. Kendra has expertise in organizational design, change management, M&A integration, large-scale HR project management, internal communications, management training and leadership development. With a collaborative and energized style, she brings trusted business partnership and a fresh perspective that aligns talent, business and culture.
Kendra is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), certified DiSC® facilitator, and Senior Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP). She has a BSBA from the University of Denver. She currently leads Swift HR Solutions’ SwiftLeadership® line of business; designing and facilitating leadership development workshops that propel managers and leaders to new heights.
