Authentic Networking

Session Description:
How many times do you say to yourself that you need to expand your horizons and meet more people? That your circle of influence needs to be strengthened? Your career requires you to network and in today's marketplace you must be more active than ever as a professional. But networking requires planning. An approach that is strategic and measurable; that you can learn from each time you introduce yourself to a new crowd or reacquaint yourself with an old one. If you are strategic and view networking through a relationship building lens, it can serve as a powerful professional and career development experience. Join the LWHRA, Allison Brown and Pamela Mack from Portland's HR Management Association (PHRMA) as we explore ways to grow your network - never be at a loss again at what to say or do at a networking event. For those who are top notch networkers, we'll be leveraging your skillset to help others. Together we'll discuss ways to be your authentic self as well as actionable networking strategies that you can immediately implement.
