April 2021 Virtual Chapter Meeting:

Maximum Ability: How to Recruit and Retain Employees with (Dis)abilities

with Paul Artale, PhD.

Presentation Description:

One out of every five Americans has a (dis)ability, more than 55% of Americans will have a disability before they retire, and the buying power of individuals with (dis)abilities is $1 trillion per year. Despite these facts showing that (dis)ability is part of every workplace and transcends all identities and affinities, most organizations struggle to create work environments that attract, accommodate, and retain persons with (dis)abilities. During this thought-provoking program, Paul Artale goes beyond the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and helps you understand the personal, social, and medical needs of persons with (dis)abilities in order to attract and retain this extremely underutilized talent pool. Maximum Ability incorporates Paul’s personal experience as an individual with a physical (dis)ability, his training as a special education teacher, current social conditions, and the latest (dis)ability research to create a presentation that is information-packed, practical, and challenges common assumptions.

Speaker Bio:

Paul Artale, PhD. PhotoPaul Artale, PhD. is a high impact and engaging speaker and leadership researcher who inspires leaders and organizations to breakthrough their challenges and take their performance to the highest level.

Born with what some would call a physical "disability," Paul's dream was to play college football. Despite being cut from his high school team, Paul Artale walked on and played defensive end for the University of Toronto. Paul uses his experience of overcoming physical adversity to play college football to teach organizations how to create high performance culture through leveraging strengths, adapting to life's circumstances, and creating transformational opportunities.

Paul blends his life stories, training thousands of leaders, and his research in organizational performance to create custom messages that engage, elevate, and entertain his audiences. Paul achieves this by providing organizations with practical tools, strategies, and processes that they can implement immediately to achieve peak performance. Paul is committed to helping you create the life or organization you want. This is detailed in Paul's first book "The 2-Year Old's Guide to Work-Life Balance" and in his podcast "Fiercely Successful," where he shares strategies and systems that help listeners achieve their best lives.
