Presentation Description:

The national unemployment rate is below 4%.  The Seattle area rate has been hovering around 3%. Couple this continued pressure with ever-increasing wages, and we have a tough labor market for employers.  Organizations need to put their best foot forward to attract and retain quality people.

At our March 10th meeting, Shannon Drohman of Compensation Connections will facilitate a session devoted to compensation.  We will explore some of the current focus areas in total rewards, including compensation strategies in a competitive market, the rise of incentive pay, stagnating merit budgets, personalized compensation, pay equity, and more.

Learning Objectives:

After this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Explore whether their total rewards program aligns with the organization’s vision and values
  • Consider how issues or challenges facing their organization might affect the total rewards program
  • Compare their own employer compensation programs against current practices in the external market
  • Recognize some of the elements for successfully rolling out a change to total rewards

Program Schedule:

11:15 am:  Registration, Networking, Seating, Buffet Lunch
11:50 am:  Announcements
12:00 pm:  Presentation
1:00 pm:  Adjourn - We are committed to ending on time!
