Tools & Tactics for Winning the Talent Wars

Hiring, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting—no matter what you call it, it’s a hot issue for employers. In a recent survey by Harvard Business Review, CEOs listed talent as one of the top issues keeping them up at night, and the head of a national trade association called “lack of available talent” one of the most significant barriers to growth.

In this session, Jenifer Lambert, Vice President of TERRA Staffing Group, will get beyond the buzzwords and the hype and share practical guidance for any employer who is serious about winning the “war for talent.” Come ready to learn:

  • Creative strategies to access hidden talent pools
  • How the game has changed when it comes to attracting candidates and how you need to adjust to compete
  • Common compensation and benefits mistakes that employers make which waste dollars and cost them talent
  • How to juggle the expectations of a multi-generational workforce. Millennials aren’t going away (actually, the best and brightest will if you don’t understand how to engage them)

Jenifer Lambert, CPC, is a partner in TERRA Staffing Group, one of the largest privately-held regional staffing firms based in the Seattle area. Registration Information:

Registration is now closed. Walk-ins are welcome depending upon availability. 

Waiting List:

If the registration deadline has passed, you are welcome to arrive at the venue at 11:00 a.m. and enter your name on the waiting list. We will accommodate walk-ins whenever space is available. The onsite registration fee is $55 for LWHRA members and $70 for non-members. Note that only the regular meal is available to walk-ins, and the fee must be paid on site.

Refund Policy:

LWHRA sets its registration fees as low as possible in order to make educational opportunities widely available. We will gladly issue refunds for event registrations that are canceled before the registration deadline. Because we need to make venue arrangements and order refreshments in advance, we are unable to refund registration fees after the deadline. No-shows who have registered but not paid in advance will be billed. Substitutions are always welcome. Please request your substitute to inform the registration desk that they are attending in your place.
