Cyndi Schaeffer, PhD will be talking about how to effectively lead change using Emotional Intelligence (EI). Strong EI skills on the part of Leaders will assist them in quickly identifying their own change management needs and those of their employees. She will describe why change is so hard for everyone and the best strategies for leading change effectively.

In this session, attendees will learn:

  • How to identify strategies to use during change
  • Best practices for increasing the likelihood of leading change effectively

Volunteer Opportunity: 2017 Symposium Chair

LWHRA is seeking the right candidate to lead the Symposium committee in planning, organizing, and delivering its 2017 Symposium (annual conference). In this role, you will have the chance to develop several leadership competencies, including teamwork, partnering and relationship building, planning and organizing, delegating, and effectiveness.  Leading the Symposium committee also offers you the opportunity to make connections with other HR professionals that will enhance your career.

The Volunteer Committee is looking for an event planning guru!

Each year LWHRA hosts a Volunteer Appreciation Event to recognize the time and energy our Volunteers have given throughout the year. The Volunteer Recognition Event Lead will work with the Volunteer Committee and LWHRA sponsors to organize and lead the event.
